When your server is running low on memory you should consider to upgrade it. However, you can also dedicate some disk space as swap memory. When it's used your applications will run slower, but at least they won't crash (unless you also exhaust the swap memory, of course).

You can specify the amount of swap memory (if any) for your server when you connect it to Moss or launch it from Moss. But you can change this configuration at any moment:

  • Enable or disable swap altogether
  • Change the amount of swap for the server
